About 2:00 pm today my Profit Bandit program quit. All I get is a black screen when I try to turn the app on. I understand thats about the time that you merged with sellerengine. I haven’t redownloaded the program yet. How do I get this thing working again. I have a Samsung Droid phone. It was working great up to this incidence.

We have made no changes to the Profit Bandit app since announcing the partnership. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. If that doesn’t work, please email support@profitbanditapp.com for further assistance.

What is the procedure for current users of PB once the current version stops working? Will there be a fee to upgrade? If so, will it be a one-time fee? I purchased Seller Engine years ago and then one day it wouldn’t work anymore and I was told that in order to keep it working I would need to start paying a large monthly fee. That is why I ask about the new PB.
Current users of Profit Bandit who have Pro Merchant accounts will be able to continue to use Profit Bandit after downloading the new version. All you’ll have to do is sign up for Marketplace Web Services (MWS), a free service from Amazon, which can be done right through Profit Bandit.
If you don’t have a Pro Merchant account, then you will not be able to use Profit Bandit after August 31st. You should avoid updating the app to the latest version and continue to use the existing version until August 31st when Amazon will deactivate the PA-API.
Back in 2003, we switched to a subscription model for SellerEngine in order to continue developing features and providing a high level of support. If we decided to adopt a similar model for Profit Bandit, we will let everyone know far in advance. However, we haven’t made any plans to do so at this time.
What about those of us who paid for this application and do not have a Pro-Merchant account with Amazon? Are we just going to be out of luck or can we at least get a refund? This was not mentioned when we paid for this.
